Working Principle

Material Feeding
Wet materials are fed into the rotating drum through a feeding system. The drum is slightly inclined, allowing the material to move gradually as it rotates.

Hot Air Flow
A heat source (such as gas, coal, or biomass) generates hot air, which flows through the drum either parallel or counterflow to the material movement.

Moisture Evaporation
As the drum rotates, lifting flights inside the dryer continuously lift and drop the material, ensuring even exposure to hot air. The heat evaporates moisture from the material.

Drying and Discharge
The dried material moves towards the discharge end while the evaporated moisture exits as exhaust gas. A dust collection system may be used to prevent air pollution.
